Whenever I've asked on Instagram or Facebook where to go for a great Christmas experience a lot of people recommend Drayton Manor. I've always been intrigued by this as it's not somewhere I would immediately think of.

Yesterday we were very excited to be invited to the press launch of their Magical Christmas. As soon as you walk through the gates of Drayton Manor you are greeted by a beautiful Christmas scene. There's Christmas Trees galore, fairy lights, fake snow and even a brass band playing Christmas carols. If you weren't feeling Christmasy when you arrived you are sure to leave feeling full of festive cheer!
Once we had gone on our favourite rides and enjoyed the soft play we ventured over to Castle of Dreams. This is a castle set in the middle of a lake. We wound our way through a covered walk way and were met by a friendly elf at the end. She asked the boys whether they had been good throughout the year and what they were hoping for, for Christmas. Once they had gone through their extensive list she led us through a door into Santa's Grotto. Santa was absolutely lovely with the boys and listened carefully to them. There was no rush and once they had finished he gave them both a present. We were led out of the grotto into an area where the boys could get free face painting and there was also colouring in available.
For the rest of the day we continued riding our favourite Thomas Land rides, we visited the zoo and we went to the 4d cinema which is showing Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas.

As the light began to fade and the fairy lights twinkled the whole place became even more magical. At 4:30pm there was a Parade which featured a very special guest and a big surprise. Then the day came to a close with a magnificent firework display over the lake. This was the perfect end to a wonderful day.
