A snowball fight in the middle of summer seems pretty crazy doesn't it?  But this is what we did yesterday.  Now you might be thinking this was at some fancy ski resort thousands of miles away but it was actually just down the road at Tamworth Snowdome!  We were lucky enough to spend the whole day there taking part in loads of fantastic activities.

Our day started at the swimming pool for a 90 minute session with a flume and inflatables for all ages.  We then moved onto tiny sledging which was a big hit with my two boys.  It involved 30 minutes of sledging down a slope and running back up to the top to do it all over again.  They were totally exhausted by the end of the session!  We then had a quick lunch at The Aspen which had a great selection of meals for both adults and children, including delicious fish and chips.  Our final activity was snow play where we were able to throw snowballs, sledge, build and dig in the snow for 30 minutes.

Would we recommend this as a day out?

This was such a fun, quirky day out which we all enjoyed and best of all it totally exhausted my two boys which meant they slept really well that night.  Hooray!
