We were really excited to be invited to The Horseshoe bar and grill. They have recently started a great deal which allows kids to eat free everyday (T&Cs apply). We wanted to go and find out what the deal involved and whether the food was as tasty as it looked!

What did Family fun in Brum think?

When we arrived at the Horseshoe bar and grill we were greeted by a really nice bar area which was light and cosy. There was a good size restaurant with highchairs and baby changing available.

The food:
As already stated children eat free. This means they are entitled to a free main and dessert. The options were- chicken nuggets, fish fingers or sausages and chips. Although this is fairly basic my son was delighted and it made for a happy, quiet lunch! He ended the meal with a huge chocolate ice-cream. Happy days!

For myself and my husband we went for the traditional Indian cuisine which was delicious! We started with popaddoms and a chicken kebab. Both of them had a nice spice to them and were presented well.

For our main course we chose Lamb Rogan Josh, Prawns in tomato and garlic, garlic naan and special fried rice. My prawn dish was very spicy which I really enjoyed. The food tasted fresh and very tasty.
After we had finished our main course we were both very full but when we saw the dessert menu we were persuaded to make room for a bit more food! There was a good mix of puddings- tradional indian sweets and American style sweets. I went for the Gulab Jamon. This is a very sweet sponge soaked in a sugary syrup and pistachios. It was delicious. My husband had the cookie dough pizza with ice-cream and described it as magnificent!
Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back.
